Weebly

1. On the center is a pic from Weebly.com

2. What was your assignment?
Our assignment was to create an amature web page using Weebly.com

3. What are the benefits of an online portfolio?
It makes it easily accessibly for the user and for other people who would want to view it.

4. What did you like/dislike about Weebly?
I liked the fact that it was user friendly and it was easy to navigate around to find what I liked. As for my dislikes, I don't have any. This site is cool!

5. Would you continue to use it as a future educator? How?
Yes, I would use this site in the future. I could have my students turn in their works online so that it can be easily accessibly to me and the class.

Slideshare.net

How was the experience of using Slideshare.net?
It was an interesting experience using Slideshare.net. It was a great program because of its availability and accessibility. However, it wasn't too user friendly--it was difficult to log in and it was difficult to upload powerpoint files. I even had to help Joey upload his file because his file was corrupted and always registered as an error 404.

What were the challenges?
The challenges were logging in, uploading files, and checking to see if the file uploaded was registered.

What was fun? Not-so fun?
It was fun to do the powerpoint, but it wasn't fun trying to find the kinks in the site.

If you had the chance to do it over what would you do differently?
None, I think I would take the same approach I did previously.

Illuminate!

1. Describe the experience with Elluminate LIve.
Overall, it was fun. I hate the fact that we usually lost the connection, but it was really fun to use. It was a very basic app for a freeware. My other experience with this included the use of 3 people interacting between one another, which was is very handy.

2. What did you like? Dislike?
I liked the fact that there are new adjustments made on Elluminate since the last time I have used it. The thing I disliked about this is that it eats up a lot of bandwidth which therefore improves the rate of drop (or lost) calls.

3. How would a distance-learning application like Elluminate, benefit students?
People could use this application to access and join their class or even meet up with people if they are able to do it physically.

4. What are some ideas that you learned from Bree?
The sharing of several files can be done easily through the use of different sites, such as on www.officelive.com

5. What will you take with you in more depth? Why?
I would take officelive.com more into depth since it enables file sharing easily and quickly among students. This would be something that I would actually invest my time into when I start my teaching career.
